Eoin Morgan quit his motherland Ireland to play for England, where his talent can see greater heights! For a batsman, test cricket means not getting out.. overs are unlimited and draw always an option. One day cricket means playing cautiously, negotiating good balls so that you can attack late in the innings. Your team's best chance to win an ODI is by playing full quota of 50 overs.

Twenty20 is less cricket and more 'hit out' or 'get out' game. 20 overs are often not enough to dismiss whole team which means all 10 players can bat with freedom and take uncalculated risks.

Eoin Morgan is among new league of batsmen who know how to be inovative with authority. Conventional sweep, reverse sweep, switch hit and scoop over fine leg or third man.. this Dublin born left handed batsman can surprise one and all with his emaculate hand eye co-ordination. When in full flow, Eoin Morgan has the ability to frustrate fielding captain to death. its like he has rubber wrists, Morgan uses a light bat and many times ends up playing two shots off one ball. He's not afraid of dancing down the track to spinners and lofting them over the in-field. This, along with all conventional cricket shots, are Morgan's speciality.

Eoin Morgan's extraordinary batting was one of the reasons why Middlesex won domestic twenty20 tournament in England in 2008 which followed his selection to represent England national side in Twenty20 World cup 2009.

Although Morgan is from Ireland (has played 23 ODI), this 5 feet 9 inch cricketer is now full time England player (as per ICC rule, he can't go back to play for his motherland again). Eoin can also keep wickets when required.
