After making fantastic debut for England against West

Indies, Graham Onions finds himself in England A side for a tour game against

Australia ahead of first Ashes test. Two big names in today's preview are Troy Cooley and John Buchanan. One is bowling coach while other head cricket coach.. and the interesting fact is, both were on opposite sides in 2005 Ashes test series and now have reversed the roles.

Troy Cooley was said to be the reason behind teaching England bowlers the art of reverse swing which helped them win back Ashes urn after 19 years. John Buchanan, on other hand, is 3 times World cup winning for Australian coach but now has taken up a short term consultancy job with England team, ahead of this 2009 Ashes series. Will Buchanan reveal all Aussie secrets? may be, but mordern day cricket isn't that immune to such role reversals. It's cricket at highest level, and everything is allowed, as long as it's fair.

From 1st July to 4th July, Australian side will give final touches to their playing eleven for the first Ashes test at Cardiff, starting on 8th July. England Lions aka England A side will be Aussie opposition in his tour match at County ground in New Road in Worchester in UK, a 11 player per side match.

Brett Lee, the seasoned fast bowler who likes to bowl with long run ups and hence, takes lot more time to finish his overs, has lost his captain's favour since in last one year and unless he produces some very leathal spells in this tour match against England Lions, his place in final XI will remain in dark. Mitchell Johnson, Stuart Clark and Peter Siddle are more or less certain to feature in the first test against England.

From England Lions side, Ian Bell, the captain, is the name to watch out for. little right hander has lost his place in England national side recently but piled up big runs since then in county cricket. Tim Bresnan and Graham Onions, both fast bowlers, made their debut for England against West Indies in May this year and their presence in England A side will test out the Aussies. Steve Harmisson is also a big name playing this match along with vetern batsman Vikram Solanki. Youngster Eoin Morgan gets another chance on big stage as does Adil Rashid, the learn and thin leg spinner.

England Lions XI : Ian Bell (captain), Tim Bresnan, Steve Davies (wicket keeper), Joe Denly, Steve Harmisson, Sajid Mehmood, Stephen Moore, Eoin Morgan, Graham Onions, Adil Rashid and Vikram Solanki.

Australia Ashes Squad : Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke, Michael Hussey, Simon Katich, Marcus North, Philip Hughes, Brad Haddin, Shane Watson, Graham Monou, Andrew McDonald, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson, Nathan Hauritz, Ben Hilfenhaus, Peter Siddle and Stuart Clark.
