Match Summary : Electing to field first, home team New Zealand restricted visitors Bangladesh to a below par 183 despite them playing their full quota of 50 overs. Mushfiqur Rahim played well, adding crucial 101 for the 7th wicket with Naeem Islam.

Chasing the target, New Zealand again lost their main opener Brendon McCullum for a single figure score but two match old Peter Ingram played out the new ball and then vice-captain Ross Taylor finished the game with over 20 overs remaining.
