Venue/Date : Adelaide Oval in South Australia.. 4,5,6,7 & 8 December 2009.
Debut : none.
Toss : West Indies, elected to bat.
Result : Match draw.
Series result : Australia lead 1-0, 2 game, 1 game to go.
Man of the match : Chris Gayle.
Umpires : Ian Gould and Mark Benson (by from England).

Head to head : 107th Australia v West Indies test match it was.. Australia have won 51, West Indies 32, 1 tied and 22 draws.

Day 1 : belonged to visitors more than home team, finishing on 336 for 6 wickets, thnaks to a superb century from Dwayne Bravo. Australian bowled only 85 overs in the day but West Indies marched towards a healthy first innings score.

Day 2 : started with wicket off first ball but turned out to be in batters favour as West Indies tail wagged them past 450 run mark and then Australia replied with 174 for no loss in 48 overs.

Day 3 : Test match looks set for a thrilling finish. West Indies took 12 run lead which isn’t to threaten no one but confidence booster in itself. 2 days to go, anything can happen as Adelaide Oval is known to be bowlers paradise in last 150 overs of the test match.

Day 4 : belonged to Chris Gayle who guided his team nearly to safety, scoring his first century in Australia. West Indies are already 296 run ahead and up with a golden chance to force a result in their favour on last day.

Day 5 : West Indies pushed for a win but home team maintained their composure to earn a draw, which now saves the test series for them.
