The only way to always stay alive is by your name...
And that's why, rich and famous people often get involve into something which is much longer living that them, and try to make others remember them forever.

Built in 1937, on a piece of land reclamied from the sea, Brabourne stadium saw 17 test matches as Mumbai's premier cricket host but then the problems between CCI and Bombay cricket association resulted in ... .. Gujarat cricket association has done a very good thing by naming their International cricket stadium on Sardar Vallab-bhai patel , which is also called at The Motera or Gujarat Stadium. After being made in 1982, Sardar Patel cricket stadium saw it's first International match in November 1983 when Indian team played a test match against West Indies. What is the best way to make cricket popular in countries where there is talent but no exposure??
Malaysia is a country which fits just right into this category as they have been an "associate member" of ICC since 1967 but haven't managed to play a single International cricket match as yet. So what is the solution to see Malaysia growing as a cricket playing nation..??
According to ICC, give them International cricket match to host as neutral venues and let Malaysians watch some highest quality of cricket. Probably they are right and that is why, Kinrara Academy Oval in Puchong, Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia will be hosting a tri series between India, Australia and West ... .. Read complete article |

IMPORTANT NOTE :- Singapore won't be hosting any matches in India - Australia - West Indies tri series in September 2006. You are expected to read the following article accordingly as at the time I wrote it, Singapore were hosting first 4 matches of this tri series. Confusion regreted.
The article follows....
Out of an approximate total of 192 countries on earth, only 10 of them actively participate in cricket.. or may be only 9.
Cricket controlling bodies (ICC as they are called) has been trying hard to increase that number to something significant so that more people know what exactly is a game of cricket.... and that is when a remote cricketing ground like "Read complete article |

Similarly, the full name of RPS cricket stadium in Colombo is Ranasinghe Premadasa Stadium, Khettarama, Colombo in Sri Lanka – named after the former President of Sri Lanka Ranasinghe Premadasa. Christopher Columbus - a well known European explorer and trader, promised to name the next land he finds as "Holy Trinity" and it was a miracle that he ended up finding Trinidad and Tobago, which was in the middle of three peaks of Trinity Hills. So that was the beginning of Trinidad and Tobago's island on World's map but before I tell you about the cricket at this land, I want to add a information that most of us didn't know. We see West Indies cricket players having Indian names like Chanderpaul, Sarwan, Dinanath Ramnaraine, Ganga and like wise and wonder what's the logic behind that. ... .. Read complete article |

Do you know that every cricket ground in any country is based on a club of people - called as club members....I hope you do. They are the people who manage all the happenings at that particular cricket ground and are responsible for every arrangement. So the story with Sabina Park in Jamaica, Kingston is that no club member (all male) is allowed to take a ladies name in the club.............else he buys drinks for every other club member.
What actually happened is that once a club member mentioned a woman's name and started to describe his affair with her. Unfortunately.. her husband was right behind him and without giving it a second thought, he broke various ... .. Read complete article |
