India earns the draw of substance, series 0-0.

On one side--you had genuinely bad trevellers called Indians. our record playing away from home is nothing to praise about, & apart from huge expectations - our team don't own much skill of swing batting. On other side - you had English cricket team whose boys have born & brought up on that one ground, we know as Lords..

I refuse to blame rain for England not winning this first test match. Every soul in UK is aware of the weather they have in that part of world. If anything, they missed only the post lunch session on Day 5 (which got rained off) but English bowlers bowled no less than 96 overs - which compiles more than ... .. Read complete article

Tickets, Telecast & Timing ~ India-England cricket series 2007

Had it been England tour of India - I promise you not tickets nor Telecast nothing would have been crystal clear for fans. Not to disrepute my countries cricket officials, but ItsOnlyCricket was in publication the May 2006 tour England cricket team did..

Experience was not good.

Anyways, India is on tour to England this July & August 2007, and similar kind of questions I'm expecting to be asked. So, doing bit of homework, I've found the methods for India-England cricket fans to watch this 3 tests & 7 ODI tour in little better manner. Tickets, Live telecast & Match start timing is what I'll mention below. Those interested, are suggested to read carefully, cause none of information ... .. Read complete article

BBC radio/news agency is one of oldest in the department, & being an England company - they give live commentary of nearly all important cricket matches played in & around England. Start from the BBC cricket page on their official website.

You'll need Windows media player, or real player to listen live action of all three India - England test matches, then the 7 one day Internationals. A moderately fast Internet connection should be able to give you un-interpted voice ... .. Read complete article

Starcricket to telecast India's warm up matches

What is common between Sourav Ganguly & sports channel ESPN? if nothing, then at least they both started their Indian career around the same time. India tour of England - 1996, when ESPN introduced themselves n Ganguly began with centuries at Lords & Trent Bridge. for some reason, India didn't play their first test match at home of cricket like every other visiting team, but at Edgbaston..

I'll comeback to that 1996 tour by India, but lets sort our topic query first ~ India vs Sussex practice match from 7th July to 10th, then India against England A from 13th July 2007 will be live on Starcricket, an all cricket channel launched by ESPN in partnership with Star Sports. ... .. Monty Panesar ~ an Indian gift to England, now a threat

We've broken our world into many fragments, to call them religion or nation or continents n so on.

A certain religion followers wear Turban on head, mostly found in Punjab state in India. Called the followers of Sikh religion. Wikipedia will tell you more about the Turban, which originally was used to keep head cool with wet cloth on a hot day, coz I'll concentrate on just one sikh in particular ~ Madhusudhan Singh aka Monty Panesar.. bowling left arm spinners for England cricket team these days.

Looking at Monty today, I see tanks of talent combined into one. Confidence is over flowing with record breaking bowling figures over not-high-class batting of West Indies. scary part is ... .. Read complete article

Tricks & Flaws, against & of England test match batting

England, was the first ever overseas tour of Indian cricket team.. no surprises there as England have played first test match against many upcoming teams.

But, 1971 and 1986, both 3 test match series in England, India team emerged as series winners. will 2007 tour be anything on same lines, or we'll again see Indian batting snicking balls to slip in swinging English conditions?

Indian chief selector - Dulip Vengserkar feels his team is much more balanced than that of England n can beat them at their home to win the test series for only the 3rd time from this 15th tour.. but I've my doubts.

Clearing the throats, I'll voice my opinion on what ... .. Read complete article

Indian squad for Ireland, Scotland & England tours

John Embury said "Indian players will burn out due to excessesive cricket BCCI has planned for them in coming 2 years", as he parted ways from Indian coaching job.

Not that Indian board would have selected Embury, but Englishman made his point in just few words. Team India do play enormous cricket in coming 15 months, so fun time for Cricket fans in India has just arrived, which very well can turn out the end of several hero's we've had in last two decades.

But the show must go on..

Things start at Belfast, where Future Cup will be fought with Proteas. India also play an One Day International against Ireland team, on 23rd June (Saturday). Then ... .. Read complete article

Scrutinizing English bowling artillery

If you're asking for 1 (or 2) word explanation of England bowlers, I'll use 'Persistent' for Mathew Hoggard, 'Heavy balls' for Andrew Flintoff, 'steep bounce' for Steven Harmisogn, 'outswinging' for Liam Plunkett, 'truly talented' for Madhusudhan Singh (aka Monty) Panesar. And I'll carefully use the words 'county bull' for newcommer left arm seamer Ryan Sidebottom.

But you need to know more than that about English bowling, don't you? Specially when Indian cricket team will be touring n playing at total of 3 tests a 2020 & 7 ODIs. moreso when you are an Indian yourself..

Lets start with two S's I haven't mentioned so far ~ Simon Jones & Sajid Mehmood. One could reverse swing the ball in, ... .. Read complete article

History of India vs England..

Cricket is a game that evolved from England, and England is a country that ruled on us for 200 years.. willingly or unwillingly, well that's not what I want to explain here. What I want to explain is that that relationship proved to be vital for grounding the roots of cricket here in my country - India. So a cricket match between India and England has been happening for a long time.. lets have a look at what where the results and important factors in those matches..

Maharaja of Porbandar(a state of India in those days) led the first ever cricket team of India on a tour of England. He didn't had too ... .. Read complete article
